Self-assessment audits
Our comprehensive reviews for your peace of mind
As unannounced visits from Aged Care Commission assessors become more frequent, your organisation may be wondering whether your processes and policies will pass a quality and compliance review. Internally-conducted self-assessments can become a burden, draining staff resources and taking up valuable time.
That’s why we offer the opportunity for residential and home care facilities to outsource the process, as we support you to positively demonstrate your performance against the new eight aged care quality standards.
Standard 1
Consumer dignity,
autonomy and choice
Standard 2
Ongoing assessment and planning with consumers
Standard 3
Delivering personal care and clinical care
Standard 4
Delivering lifestyle services and supports
Standard 5
Service environment
Standard 6
Feedback and complaints
Standard 7
Human resources
Standard 8
Organisational governance
A flexible approach to suit your needs
At CareLynx, we’ll work alongside your team onsite for up to four days to truly understand how your organisation is working and if there are any gaps or areas of potential concern. We’ll conduct interviews with your residents and clients, staff and key personnel to create a document containing both qualitative and quantitative data.
Once we’ve completed our review and collected all of the information we need, we’ll create a completely customised report that can be easily transformed into an action plan, either at a service or organisational level.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, our self-assessment audits will be tailored to your organisational needs, directly identifying and addressing any areas of concern.
Feel confident and prepared for accreditation
Our team understand and can apply the eight aged care quality standards and provide compliance support. We’ll work through each standard with your organisation and provide you with a set of practical recommendations that will address any gaps we find in our review.
We’ll also create a personalised risk map that identifies any potential areas of non-compliance against the five key areas of risk: communication, engagement, quality of life, staff skills and clinical risk management.
Partnership — for life
Once we’ve completed your review, we’ll continue supporting you to remain compliant against the new requirements.
To do this, we offer a range of services, including education and coaching for your senior staff, remote clinical monitoring by our experienced Clinical Nurses, and a complete toolkit to assist you with auditing.
